We believe that the Bible is the Word of the living God, true, unchangeable and inbreathed by the Holy Spirit and not only contains truth but is truth.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:16, 17)
We believe that there is but one true and living God; and that in the unity of the Godhead there are Three.
The Father – who freely gave His only begotten Son to redeem and reconcile sinful man unto Himself.
The Son – conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, took upon Himself the form of man, bearing our sins and by the shedding of His blood upon the cross, purchased redemption for all that would believe in Him. Then, bursting the bonds of death and hell rose from the grave and ascended on high to take his place at the right hand of the Father.
The Holy Spirit — The third person of the Godhead, drawing sinners to the Savior, rebuking, comforting, guiding, enduing with power from on high those who yield to His tender ministrations.
“I, even I, am the LORD, and besides Me there is no savior.” (Is. 43:11) “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all…” (1 Tim.:2:5, 6a) “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.” (Eph. 2:18)
We believe that humans were created in the image of God, but fell from perfection and relationship with God by voluntary disobedience.
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned— (Romans 5:12)
We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, the Just for the unjust; signing with His life’s blood, the pardon of every one who should believe upon Him.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly through grace; that we have no righteousness or goodness of our own.
“‘There is none righteous, no, not one:’”(Rom. 3:10) “For by grace you have been saved…” (Eph. 2:8)
We believe that by sincerely turning away from sin and whole-heartily accepting Jesus as Lord, one is made right before God.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 Jn. 1:9)
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple men of every nation.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matt. 28:18-20)
